After returning to Japan for college and living in an international student dorm, I witnessed firsthand the challenges many of my close friends, who were foreigners, faced. From navigating complex move-in processes and government registrations to securing employment—whether through shūkatsu or part-time jobs—these obstacles often felt overwhelming for them. By supporting my friends through these difficulties, I realized just how many other international students in Japan might be experiencing similar struggles. When I discovered JPort and learned about their mission to create a borderless Japan, I was deeply inspired. Their dedication to bridging cultural and professional gaps resonated with my own experiences, making it an organization I feel truly excited and honored to contribute to.

大学進学のために日本に戻り、国際学生寮で生活する中で、多くの留学生の友達が直面している課題を目の当たりにしました。複雑な入居手続きや区役所での手続き、就活やアルバイト探しなど、これらの障壁は彼らにとって非常に大きな負担となっていました。友達をサポートする中で、日本には同じような課題に直面している留学生がまだまだ多くいるのではないかと気付かされました。そんな中でJPortの存在を知り、「ボーダレスな日本」の実現を目指すというビジョンに深く共感しました。文化や言語の壁を越えて、留学生たちが日本でスムーズに生活し、働くことができる環境を整えるという取り組みは、私自身の経験とも重なり、とても魅力的で意義深いと感じました。このような多様でグローバルな組織の一員として、私の経験を活かし、貢献と学びができればと思います！

Everyone at JPort has been incredibly welcoming and supportive. From the day of my interview to my first day on the job, everyone has been so encouraging and eager to help whenever I had questions or uncertainties. On the work front, I’m already learning so much—from translation and writing business emails to event planning and more. As a startup, JPort offers a dynamic environment where you can take on diverse roles and grow through hands-on experiences. I’m truly excited to continue learning and growing alongside such an amazing team!
